A compact private office, reimagined through flexible sliding space.

Project Type: Private Office Interiors

Location: Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India

Area: 500 SQ FT

Key Design Approach: Flexible spatial planning through integrated sliding partitions, allowing the workspace and lounge to function independently or as one connected environment.

Designed as a compact 500 sq.ft. private office, this workspace was conceived around the need for two users to operate independently while retaining a cohesive, connected environment. The entire office was planned as a unified space, with a system of black-framed fluted glass sliding partitions introduced to create flexibility between the formal work zone and the adjoining lounge area.

The sliding system allows the spaces to remain visually connected during regular use, while providing privacy when the father and son require separate meetings or independent working environments. A warm palette of natural wood tones, rich leather, marble surfaces and muted neutral finishes establishes a refined, contemporary character, while integrated shelving, concealed storage and carefully positioned lighting add functionality without compromising the clean visual language.

The lounge is designed as more than a waiting area, functioning as an informal meeting and discussion space that can be completely separated from the primary workstations when required. The project demonstrates our approach to compact workplace interiors, adaptable spatial planning and bespoke partition systems, where a limited footprint is transformed into a flexible environment capable of supporting multiple modes of work, interaction and privacy.
