Perched above the Ganga, Kafe D transforms a 4,790 sq.ft. rooftop setting into a layered dining and leisure experience designed around views, atmosphere and movement. The challenge was to bring together multiple functions—indoor dining, a live kitchen, semi-open pool lounge and additional rooftop seating—within one cohesive hospitality environment without losing intimacy across the expansive footprint.
The planning creates a gradual transition from enclosed dining to the pool deck and finally to the open rooftop, allowing each level to offer a distinct experience while maintaining a consistent design language. A deliberately controlled lighting strategy, carefully positioned furniture and considered visual connections keep the atmosphere intimate despite the scale, while the pool and glass-roofed deck become focal elements within the overall composition. The project reflects an approach to restaurant and rooftop design, experiential planning and atmospheric interiors, creating a destination that balances functionality with a distinctly immersive dining experience.
