Project Highlights

A compact dining concept shaped by atmosphere and intimacy.

Located within the vibrant market of Rishikesh and occupying the ground floor of River Heaven Boutique Hotel, Cafe Cacao was designed as an intimate dining space that balances the energy of its urban setting with a more relaxed, refined experience. Working within a 1,000 sq.ft. footprint, the challenge was to accommodate a 25–30 PAX dining programme while creating varied seating experiences rather than a conventional, uniformly planned café.

The layout therefore moves between intimate niches and open seating, with views towards the Ganga and the Marine Drive promenade becoming an integral part of the spatial experience. The interiors extend the hotel’s architectural language through earthy textures, crafted elements and a restrained lighting strategy, creating a setting that shifts naturally from a lively daytime café to a more atmospheric evening dining experience. The project reflects an approach to restaurant interior design, experiential planning and material-led hospitality, where a compact footprint is carefully shaped into a distinctive and inviting destination.
